Criteria for Lung Transplantation

The people we work with have a variety of illnesses and chronic conditions that cause their lungs to fail.  These include;

  • ü Interstitial Pneumanitis.
    ü Emphysema.
    ü Sarcoidosis.
    ü Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
    ü Cystic Fibrosis.
    ü Pulmonary `Hypertension.
    ü Bronchiactasis
    ü Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. C.O.P.D.
    ü Alpha 1 Immune Deficiency.
  • ü A. Alpha 1 Antitypic Deficiency.
    ü Cancer (remission for 2 year)

    4. We raise donations for NorthWest Lung Inc. to help provide for the transplant patients themselves.

    5. Our money does not go to any other national organization or to the University of Washington Medical Center (although, in establishing our residence house we are not only helping the patients but also benefitting to the University of Washington Medical Center).
